It was only a matter of time before some young enterprising American wrote a potential anthem for all the tea parties. Enjoy.

In God We Trust- Views from Our Greatest Leaders
Take a moment. Sit and relax while you watch the following. The quotes are all from our past- men like Patrick Henry, George Washington and Abraham Lincoln, just to name a few.
It sure would be nice if we could repeat the history of which they speak.

Remembering Liberty or Death, Patrick Henry Style
VWV Note: Give me liberty or give me death. A great speech which was delivered by a wonderful American patriot. I wonder what he would think about today's attacks on the values he and the other early patriots willingly fought for- sometimes with their lives.
“Give Me Liberty or Give Me Death”

by Shane Vander Hart
Today is the 234th anniversary of Patrick Henry giving his famous “Give Me Liberty or Give Me Death” speech to the Virginia Convention on March 23, 1775. This speech is credited with having swung the balance in convincing the Virginia House of Burgesses to pass a resolution delivering Virginia troops to the Revolutionary War. I thought I’d include the text below.
Give Me Liberty or Give Me Death
by Patrick Henry
No man thinks more highly than I do of the patriotism, as well as abilities, of the very worthy gentlemen who have just addressed the House. But different men often see the same subject in different lights; and, therefore, I hope it will not be thought disrespectful to those gentlemen if, entertaining as I do opinions of a character very opposite to theirs, I shall speak forth my sentiments freely and without reserve. This is no time for ceremony. The questing before the House is one of awful moment to this country. For my own part, I consider it as nothing less than a question of freedom or slavery;.....http://caffeinatedthoughts.com/?p=2359

The Buck Stops at the Head of the Table
Ever been to a training session at a huge company? Well, I have when I worked for a Fortune 500 company. Let me tell you what was said about problems with issues.
You don't pass blame. The blame lies squarely on the shoulders of the man at the top of the heap. Why? Because his policy allowed the issue to happen.
With that said, the problem with the AIG bonus lies squarely on the boss of Geithner, that is, the President himself.
The calls are starting to come in for the resignation of Geithner. Perhaps, the man at the top should follow the lay of the land in corporate America training sessions on responsibility.

Are they crazy? Don’t Jim DeMint and Johnny Isakson know that Tim Geithner is the only one working at Treasury? Well, I guess the problem is defining the word “working”, after the AIG debacle blew up in the faces of Geithner and Barack Obama, thanks to Chris Dodd singing like a canary yesterday. DeMint and Isakson publicly called for Geithner’s head:

Obama and Company Now Want to Regulate Your Home Garden
There's a ton of stories on the potential problems with HR 875, which is also known as the Food Safety Modernization Bill of 2009. If it passes as is, chances are you can kiss your home garden goodbye. I just can't believe that the government would stoop so low as to make our gardens illegal. Stand up America and fight for your rights!
The End of Organic Farming? How HR875 Could Kill the Farmers Market
The US has several organizations which are responsible for the safety of food products including the USDA, the FDA,the CDC and the EPA. As is typical with most agencies they are underfunded, understaffed and don't communicate with each other....http://ezinearticles.com/?The-End-of-Organic-Farming?-How-HR875-Could-Kill-the-Farmers-Market&id=2088965
HR875: Your homegrown tomatoes are illegal
HR875 will require government-mandated licensing, chemical application and inspections for non-corporate grown food in the USA.

Another Day Brings Fewer Newspapers
Note: Another day, another newspaper folds. Today was the last day for the print version of the Seattle P-I.
I happen to agree that many of the print papers closed a blind eye when it came to reporting the news in an honest and unbiased way. Too many editors appear to have the concern of making the news more sensational. Too many may decide they should have stuck to journalism.

Cardinal George Urges Catholics to Tell Administration: Keep Conscience Protections for Health Care Workers
Note: Agreed. It is the responsibility of all Americans, whether Catholic or non-Catholic to let our government know our thoughts on protecting our health care workers and their personal decisions on whether or not perform abortions. Isn't that a part of free choice? It is most certainly tied into freedom of religion.
/PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Cardinal Francis George is urging Catholics in the United States to tell the Obama Administration to retain Health and Human Services regulations governing conscience protections for health care workers.
This is vital to keep the government from "moving our country from democracy to despotism," said Cardinal George, President of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. He delivered the message via video available on the Web at http://www.usccb.org/conscienceprotection and on YouTube at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6NoCRwMqVzQ.
Those who want to protect conscience rights can speak out through an action alert at http://www.usccb.org/conscienceprotection.
"Respect for personal conscience and freedom of religion as such ensures our basic freedom from government oppression. No government should come between an individual person and God--that's what America is supposed to be about," Cardinal Francis George said. "This is the true common ground for us as Americans. We therefore need legal protection for freedom of conscience and of religion--including freedom for religious health care institutions to be true to themselves."
"I ask you please to let the government know that you want conscience protections to remain strongly in place. In particular, let the Department of Health and Human Services in Washington know that you stand for the protection of conscience, especially now for those who provide the health care services so necessary for a good society," he said.
Cardinal Francis George taped the message after the Obama Administration announced in early March that it was rescinding the regulations which guarantee that health workers cannot be forced to provide services that violate their consciences, including abortions.
His entire statement follows.
Hello. I am Cardinal Francis George, Archbishop of Chicago and President of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. I'd like to take a moment to speak about two principles or ideas that have been basic to life in our country: religious liberty and the freedom of personal conscience.
On Friday afternoon, February 27, the Obama Administration placed on a federal website the news that it intends to remove a conscience protection rule for the Department of Health and Human Services. That rule is one part of the range of legal protections for health care workers--for doctors, nurses and others--who have objections in conscience to being involved in abortion and other killing procedures that are against how they live their faith I God.
As Catholic bishops and American citizens, we are deeply concerned that such an action on the government's part would be the first step in moving our country from democracy to despotism. Respect for personal conscience and freedom of religion as such ensures our basic freedom from government oppression. No government should come between an individual person and God--that's what America is supposed to be about. This is the true common ground for us as Americans. We therefore need legal protection for freedom of conscience and of religion--including freedom for religious health care institutions to be true to themselves.
Conscientious objection against many actions is a part of our life. We have a conscientious objection against war for those who cannot fight, even though it's good to defend your country. We have a conscientious objection for doctors against being involved in administering the death penalty. Why shouldn't our government and our legal system permit conscientious objection to a morally bad action, the killing of babies in their mother's womb? People understand what really happens in an abortion and in related procedures--a living member of the human family is killed--that's what it's all about--and no one should be forced by the government to act as though he or she were blind to this reality.
I ask you please to let the government know that you want conscience protections to remain strongly in place. In particular, let the Department of Health and Human Services in Washington know that you stand for the protection of conscience, especially now for those who provide the health care services so necessary for a good society. Thank you and God bless you.

Americans Sign Petition to Protect Secret Ballot
The question is whether Congress will listen to Americans..
American Solutions announced today that more than 100,000 Americans have signed the "Freedom Not Fear" petition urging Congress to protect a worker's right to a secret ballot election when deciding whether to join a union. This comes on the day that the U.S. House and Senate introduced the so-called Employee Free Choice Act, or "Card Check," which would strip workers' of their private ballot rights......

Patriotic Meaning of Folding the United States Flag
Recently, I attended a military funeral. It wasn't my first and I'm sure it won't be my last.
The precision of the military honor guard as they pay tribute to the fallen soldier is a sight to behold. The mournful wail as Taps is played, the folding of the American Flag and the 21 gun salute are deeply symbolic for the family and for our country. Have you ever stopped and considered the meaning of the use of the American Flag in this ceremony? Tis beautiful, my friend.
Do you know that at military funerals, the 21-gun salute stands for the sum of the numbers in the year 1776?
Have you ever noticed the honor guard pays meticulous attention to correctly folding the United States of America Flag 13 times? You probably thought it was to symbolize the original 13 colonies, but we learn something new every day!....

House Republicans push for spending freeze
Excellent idea: On the heels of the successful Senate GOP move to slow down passage of the $410 billion omni-pork bill, House GOP leader John Boehner is pushing for a freeze on government spending that would hold federal spending at current levels and strip the omnibus of all 9,000 un-scrutinized earmarks:

UN Seeks to Silence Free Speech in America
I found this story about the United Nations actions deeply disturbing. Why should we as Americans not be able to speak out against any group who threatens Americans? Why should we as Americans bow down to the United Nations? Whose in charge?
Maybe the better question is "Are you ready? Have you made your peace with your Creator?"
Read the story and see if you find the hair on your arms raising up in alarm.
UN may make ban on criticizing Islam mandatory, making it a criminal offense in the U.S.
.....According to a report by CNN's Lou Dobbs posted on YouTube, the proposal that has been repeatedly brought in recent years by the Organization of Islamic Conference states is expected to resurface as early as this spring.
This time, however, the resolution wouldn't allow nations to opt out.

Do I Stay or do I Go?
"Even if you are on the right track, you'll get run over if you sit there" - - Will Rogers
This quote pretty much sums it up. If we want to change back to putting God and our country first, then we shall have to get up off our duffs and go do it.
Just a thought- where are you in your life? Just sitting around or running on the right track?

Conservatives Love Americans and Support Our Constitution
What a great Saturday night! First I watched the forecast for an alleged Sunday snow storm (still waiting on that one to appear) and I saw Rush Limbaugh's speech to CPAC aired again. It was great. Yes, we love America, Americans and support our Constitution!
Thanks to Fox News for the transcript of Rush's speech. Read it and remember, we are Americans!
The following is a raw transcript of Rush Limbaugh's speech on the final day of CPAC.
RUSH: Thank you so much. Thank you. Thank you all very, very much. Thank you all. I can't tell you how wonderful that makes me feel. It happens everywhere I go, but it's still special here. [ Laughter ] If you all will indulge me, I learned something, I guess, it's early Friday morning that I didn't know. Friday morning is when I learned this. I learned that Fox, God love them, is televising this speech on the Fox News Channel, which means, ladies and gentleman, this is my first ever address to the nation. [Applause] Now, I have someone in back taking phone numbers. In fact, I would like to introduce to you my security chief, a man who runs all of my security. His name is Joseph Stalin. Joseph, would you please --
[Laughter ] I am safe from any liberal attack, in public, because they would be afraid of offending Stalin.
[Laughter] Now the opportunity here to address the nation, a serious one, it really is. And I want to take it seriously. I want to address something. I know that people are probably watching this who never have listened to my program and may not even really know what conservatism is...
